Tina J. Levy
Transplanted from Florida in 2019, I am hooked on the mountains in Southern Utah. My inspiration is fed now by the texture of the earthy, richly colored rock formations that stream from one precipice to the next. I used to wrap raw aluminum nuggets from my husband's fire pit. Now, I wire wrap raw stones from nearby rivers. I’ve also begun to sculpt “beaded embellishments'' using river rock.
Artistic affinity is hereditary in our family of quilters, welders, and painters. A business degree helped me as an entrepreneur but what I know about making jewelry came via YouTube videos. Work stress from an IT career drove me to making jewelry in 2000. I started with funky beaded earrings, Cellini reverse spiral pendants, and bracelets of bead crochet, kumihimo, and peyote. I focused on creating glass beaded jewelry, sometimes incorporating natural stones. Obsessed with quality, I still construct every pair of ear wires in my inventory.
I sell online and through local retailers.
