Chris studied at Art Center College of Design when it was in Los Angeles but is now in the Pasadena hills. She majored in Industrial Environmental Design. Architecture was her first love, and she has translated that into pottery, making little houses, many with lights.
She carves her own stamps in a flexible rubber medium or creates textures with clay and presses it into her designs. She builds her houses from slabs of clay textured and the put together. You can watch her do it on their website.
You can find Chris’ work in the White Bird Gallery in Cannon Beach. She has been featured at Red Trillium Gallery in Troutdale, Oregon, Timberline Lodge store at the airport, and at Timberline Lodge, on Mount Hood.
Other venues: Ceramic Showcase and the Gathering of the Guilds at the Oregon Convention Center, Gresham Art Festival, Fall Festival of the Arts, in Troutdale, Oregon, Harvest Moon in Boring, Oregon, Sandy Historical Society, Sandy Oregon, and The Clayhouse Potters open studio.
