Whistle Post Pottery
David Parry is originally from Stoke-on-Trent, England, an area known as 'The Potteries' due to spawning Royal Doulton, Wedgewood and many others. David moved to Bristol to attend the University of the West of England. After graduating in 1997 with a BA in Ceramics he established his own studio and sold his work in markets and galleries in Bristol, Bath and Wells.
In 2009 David moved to Oregon, where his wife was raised. In 2018 he settled in his current home and studio in rural Douglas County. The rugged natural beauty of David’s surroundings inform the more organic aspects of his work but also provide a distinct contrast to the bright colors and geometric forms that characterize his pottery.
David’s work is available at Earthworks Gallery in Yachats, Oregon, via his Etsy shop, or contact him through his website or Instagram. As the year unfolds David plans to sell via art shows and markets once events are confirmed they will be posted on his website calendar.
