ARTIST STATEMENT
My involvement with clay started in high school and continued at Portland State where I attended as a ceramics major. I continue to work as a studio potter living in the Scholls area.
My work is mostly electric fired at cone 6 and largely consists of pieces made from slabs of clay. My style is colorful and whimsical. It is all dishwasher, microwave and food safe.
I show my work at various shows, at DragonFire gallery in Cannon Beach and at my Etsy (https://www.etsy.com/shop/ChehalemMtnPottery). Every summer, typically in July) we have an outdoor art show on our property with about 25 artists friends. Visit our website to find out the dates for the show this year.
