My journey with clay began in college when I took a ceramics class at Scripps College in Claremont, California, while working on a degree in psychology from Pitzer. Although I made pottery full time in my 20s, for most of my life I have balanced my work as a psychotherapist with my work in clay.
I make functional pottery both on the wheel and by hand building, sometimes combining elements of both wheel and slab work. Over the years, I have had my own studio, worked at the Multnomah Arts Center, and recently have moved back to a home hand building studio. Even within the parameters of functional work, I enjoy the infinite possibilities that clay allows for playing with shape, form, and decoration.
I currently sell my work through private sales, shows, community center sales, and at the White Bird Gallery in Cannon Beach. All my available work is on my Flickr page. (See above) Please call or email me with any questions or to arrange a sale.
