Kimberly In Clay
Find delight in seeking just the right sprig to balance in a handmade ceramic vase! Share it to brighten some lucky duck’s day.
Inspired by the lines and movement of ikebana, the wonder of nature and the squish of clay in her hands, Kimberly Ota makes slab constructed and wheel thrown vases. Rocking shapes holding water, pots with tiny holes asking to be useful, and soft round forms marked with hard lines emerge from wood kilns and electric kilns just asking to be enjoyed.
Look for vases at Mossy Creek Pottery in Lincoln City, OR, Byrdcliffe Shop in Woodstock, NY or kimberlyinclay.com. Email if you’d like a private outdoor showing in Portland, OR.
