ARTIST STATEMENT
My work is a translation of how it feels to be in my body, interacting with and reacting to the natural world. I moved to Oregon 27 years ago after falling in love with the Pacific Northwest during a college road trip. I received my BFA in Ceramics from Kent State University. I make things that I love and I hope that my work gives people joy.
All of my work is hand-built with coils, slabs, and pinching. My garden sculptures and pots are finished with an iron oxide wash in a cone 10 reduction firing. My colorful work is mid-range cone 6 clay using underglaze and glaze in an electric kiln.
You can find my work on Etsy. I ship anywhere in the continental US, or you can use the code for local pick up then call or email me to schedule a pick up time. You can also follow and DM me on Instagram, where I share my work in progress and my newest items. You are welcome to schedule a masked visit at my studio, please email to schedule. I accept payments with Venmo, PayPal, and Square.
