KeigKenzie Studio began as a collaboration between married artists Kelly Keigwin and Sam MacKenzie. Sam did the throwing, Kelly carved the characters, and they both worked on glazing. They made whimsical functional pottery and some ceramic sculpture.

After Kelly's death in 2019, Sam has worked on making KeigKenzie Studio both a continuation and an evolution of what she and Kelly made together. Using established KeigKenzie Studio characters, Sam creates "grief pottery" that expresses the loss of a loved one. Sam also makes various swear mugs for those of us who need to blow off a little steam.
