ARTIST STATEMENT

My love of all expressions of art is lifelong. 30 years ago I spent my creative time creating figurative clay sculptures and paintings. Then, for 22 years, I had the privilege to travel globally for my work. I was exposed to many cultures and their art. When I retired 4 years ago I was reenergized to begin creating my own art again, this time choosing the medium of stained glass.

I design the pieces I produce, select colors and textures of glass from my well-stocked studio and construct my pieces using the Tiffany copper foil method. All of my larger pieces of art glass are framed in hardwood frames when sold and smaller pieces are framed in zinc and sold with their own handmade hardwood display base.
