ARTIST STATEMENT

I have been creating stained glass for almost 50 years and fused glass for 20 years along with my partner Jane Godfrey. I like to experiment and try different forms and cycle through seasons of landscapes, vessels, trays, dinnerware and various little dishes.

Lately I have been interested in developing window hangings with open spaces and how the kiln work creates fascinating shapes and colors. We moved to Portland 13 years ago from Cleveland Ohio and still show our glass at Heights Art Gallery.

In addition, we sell out of our home/studio in Northeast Portland and mostly out of our on-line shop:ambienteartglass.com We still have a collection of antique jewels and lovely hand-blown stained glass that finds its way into homes here and across the country as some of our loyal customers commission us to create a special piece for a particular setting or occasion.
