Carli Schultz is a metalsmith and glass artist working specializing in combining art glass with silver, gold and semi-precious stones. Schultz creates with glass using a process called lampworking, or flameworking, a method of manipulating glass by melting it in the flame of a torch, and them combines her pieces with various metalsmithing techniques
She has worked in glass since 2004 and metals since 2011. Education at the Oregon College of Art and Craft and at the Bullseye Glass Resource Center have helped her further her knowledge of glass, metal, and jewelry fabrication. Her work has been exhibited at the Museum of Contemporary Craft, in past issues of The Flow, A Distinctive Style, and Bead Unique magazines, and in the Beaverton Valley Times and Oregonian newspapers.
She currently sells her award-winning work online and at local art events around Portland.
