Turn of the Century Fine Arts
Seal Rock, Oregon
I'm a Maker of things, objects and even ideas.
Walnut is my Birth Tree and I've been inspired by their Majesty ever since my Youth and understanding of Leafly Shade Azwell as their barren winter strength and eventual lumber.
Visiting George Nakashima's and homestead in New Hope Pennsylvania at 12 years old Galvanized my path as an Artist and Furniture maker.
Going to Japan at 19 introduced me to the Zen consciousness and eastern concerns of design.
Working with native North West woods from local millers is my preference~ using natural edges and making objects that best suit the project as my Guide.
Often the material, regardless of it's composition or origin, is my inspiration:
I value the Sacred and Unusual~
